The sport of skateboarding is known for its unpredictability, but when it comes to the NHL, the answer is usually the Philadelphia Flyers.
There have been a lot of injuries to Flyers players this season, but they’ve been relatively unblemished.
The team has had an average of 20-plus players injured each game, including 10-plus with two or more NHL debuts.
The Flyers have also been one of the NHL’s top-scoring teams, averaging 3.14 goals per game, ranking ninth in the league behind only the Washington Capitals (2.78), Pittsburgh Penguins (2) and Dallas Stars (2).
That has allowed the Flyers to rank in the top five in goals per games per game (2,521), goals per night (1,948) and goals against average (1.85).
That’s also a good record for a team that has been a relative disappointment in the regular season, finishing second to the Detroit Red Wings (2G/3A) in the Eastern Conference.
While the Flyers are far from the only team in the NFL with a high-scoring offense, they’re not the only one that is one of those teams.
For example, while the New England Patriots have been the only NFL team to score at least 30 points in each of the past four seasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers (35G/14A) have the NFL’s highest scoring offense, averaging 27.7 points per game.
The Steelers are also among the top-ranked offenses in scoring (29.2) per game since joining the league.
While that’s certainly an accomplishment, they’ve also been relatively bad on the road.
They’ve been a combined 14-16-3 away from Heinz Field in their past eight games, including losing to the Denver Broncos 20-17 on Thanksgiving Day.
In addition, the Steelers have been one-point underdogs in three of their past four home games, while also being underdogs on the weekend (6-6 at Buffalo and 2-6 vs. Detroit).
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the thick of a playoff race heading into Week 17.
The Philadelphia Eagles are currently fifth in the AFC East with six wins, one game behind the Baltimore Ravens for the final wild card spot.
However, the Ravens have been more competitive than the Eagles and have the AFC’s best record at 9-1-1, while their two losses came at home to the Cincinnati Bengals and at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Baltimore Ravens are a playoff team, but that doesn’t mean the Ravens are going to win the AFC.
The Bengals are 11-5 and the Eagles are 12-3.
If the Ravens can continue their hot start and keep the Bengals out of the playoffs, the Eagles could sneak into the postseason.
The Ravens and Eagles are tied for the second wild card slot with the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers tied for second in the division standings.
The Bills and Steelers are the two teams in the NFC East with the Steelers at 3-1.
The Buffalo Bills will look to avoid a third consecutive loss to the New York Giants on Saturday, while they have a chance to avoid the loss of quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
In Week 16, the Bills will host the New Orleans Saints at Lambeau Field.
The Saints are a very good team, and the Bills could have a tough time stopping them on the field, but the defense could be a big factor.
The Dolphins are currently in the bottom half of the AFC in scoring defense and have allowed teams to score over 30 points twice this season.
However it looks like the Bills have the edge over the Saints at this point.
If they can keep the Saints off the board, they’ll likely get to the postseason, although they’ll need to do that without a QB to start the season.
